Hair is made of a body's natural tough protein called keratin. The hair bulb is what we call hair follicles that is very much important for the growth of hair shaft by dividing the living cells. Hair has it's purpose to grow on our different parts of the body, one of them few are to regulate the body's temperature and of course to enhance the beauty and make us look charming.

Since hair is made of a protein, protein rich diet is advisable. Protein rich diets are paneer, soya chunks, chicken, rajma, soya milk etc. but consuming too much of soya can cause hormonal imbalance.

Avoid masturbation especially for men because the testosterone gets converted into DHT-dihydrotestosterone which blocks hair growth and in some cases the DHT helps to form fungal infections which stops the hair growth also avoid too much of weight lifts which can cause hair loss due to heat and more testosterone production which eventually converts into DHT. Some of the DHT blockers are pumpkin seed, minoxidil,finasteride etc.

Dandruff is common fungal infection that irritates the scalp and cause hair loss,so the easy way to reduce dandruff is to take head shower once in 3 days after applying any one of the essential oils like jojoba oil, tea tree oil, coconut oil etc, One hour prior to take shower. Any oil is not recommended to stay on the scalp more than 2 hours. Shampoos and conditoners free from sulphates and paraben are best recommended in order to lock moisture in the scalp and prevent hair loss.

Usage of hot hair styling accesories like hair dryer, straightener and hair curling iron should be avoided but once in a while is okay.

Intake of L-lysine drugs only upto 3g per day to avoid its side effects. Intake of Biotin and Vitamin-E supplements and using wooden combs to reduce heat and using derma rollers will be helpful.

Using curry leaves and fenugreek seeds in diet helps hair not to get grey soon. Getting good night sleep and staying hydrated is mandatory to avoid hair loss.Avoid staying in humid regions if its necessary to stay in humid weather then please follow above methods to prevent hair loss and shirashasan yoga is good to hair loss prevention because of increased blood supply to scalp.

Stop hot styling hair tools like straightener and curler and blower.

Massage essential oils to scalp less than one hour before shower.

Use sulphate free shampoos and paraben free shampoos and conditions.

Use curry leaves, and fenugreek seeds in diet.

Add protein rich diet to your life.

Take Vitamin-E and Biotin supplements.

Stay hydrated.

Get good sleep.
